Resumo
The program started with a lecture by Lynn Meskell in which she presented her recent work on UNESCO. The seminar revolved around two main topics: the ethics of heritage and the digital approaches. During the first day, the CHEurope ESRs broadly reflected upon their position as researchers in the field of Critical Heritage, focusing on the methodologies and the motivations behind their work. Together with the invited speakers, they discussed how the theories and methodologies are informing the work that they have carried out so far. On the second day, we will tackle the problem of digitality and digitization of heritage, focusing on the politics behind institutional mass-digitization processes. Hosted by the Netherlands Archive of Sound and Vision, we will learn about their collection and their work into the audiovisual heritage field. On the third day, we focused on digital research methods and how they are applied to the heritage field. The ESRs attended lectures and panel discussions and visited the Dom Under heritage sites.
