Las caras invisibilizadas del patrimonio: Técnicas participativas y su relación con la elaboración de políticas patrimoniales

2015. Castelán

Resumo
The core idea of this paper is that the distance between heritage policies and the ?invisibilized? faces of heritage? constitutes a structural situation that is important to analyze in order to propose initiatives to reduce it. It draws on the results of a participatory activity in the village of Vilaserío (Negreira municipality) about the topic ?What is the most valuable aspect of the village? The activity took place in Vilaserío because it was one of the three places where ethnographic fieldwork was conducted as part of the research project ?Heritagization processes along the Camino: Santiago-Finisterre-Muxía route? (INCITE09606181PR). The project focused on a twofold question: how does pilgrimage affect the daily-life of those living along the route? And, what heritagization practices are being developed? One of the conclusions of the project is the distance between heritage policies that affect the area and the neighbors? ideas and suggestions. For example, ?working the land? is the heritage element more repeated throughout our fieldwork. However, working the land is not included as a heritage element in the logics of heritage institutions.
