Resumo
Inter- and trans-disciplinarity have arrived without asking for permission. In fact, the complexity of the problems that we pretend to solve is the main to put together different disciplines in order to solve them. However, disciplinary borders are not easy to cross, even if, as researchers, we talk to our neighbours -or maybe because of it- feel much more comfortable working into its pretty delimitate boundaries creating specific identity markers and ways of dwelling. My previous long life experience before the academic one, which was centered in art and cultural agitation, allows me now to face a doctoral thesis which walks in a diachronic way through history, archaeology, folklore studies, anthropology, personal commitment, and embedded in a gender perspective. In this presentation I will analyze the challenges and risks when trying to conciliate and create bridges, not only between disciplines but also with the extra-academic experience. Based on my own PhD project, I will also explore the need ?and difficulties- to look for new formulas to co-create knowledge, which like love, has no borders.
