A review of the megalithic phenomenon in the Duero valley from a historiographic and interpretative approach

Throughout this chapter, an overall image of Megalithism will be shown, as well as its research development in the area of the Duero Valley, focusing on the different aspects such as its territory distribution, the chosen locations, the documented architectural types and some matters related to its ritual and funerary dimensions. All these megalithic features will be brought on from a historiographic approach, featuring some of the hypotheses and readings suggested by the different interpretative trends in each case.
