Summary
Palaeolandxscapes is a multidisciplinary approach to the reconstruction, visualization and perception of palaeo-environmental landscapes. It is based on the gathering of proxy data from soils and sediments using e.g. palynology, anthracology and organic geochemistry. This data is then processed in GIS, photogrammetry and 3D computer graphics software for visualization, and potentially eye-tracking analysis for the study of the perception of visualization products. It focuses on the environment of the Archaeological Rock Art Park of Campo Lameiro, but will expand to other contexts such as the Barbanza’s Megalitism along its course. Being a multidisciplinary effort, many staff members of the INCIPIT might become engaged.
