Summary
Excavations at the Turco-Egyptian (1870-1884) and British (1884-1960) colonial town of Bulhar in the western coast of Somaliland are presented. The excavations yielded interesting materials from the turn of the twentieth century and exposed the nomadic occupations pre-dating the construction of the city, around the mid-19th century.
