Ampliando las aplicaciones de las Tecnologías de Información Geográfica en arqueología

At the Incipit we have been engaged for some years in exploring the archaeological applicability of Geospatial Technologies. This includes discovering, documenting and analyzing the occurrence of archaeological features in the landscape with different digital tools, in particular GIS. In this text we briefly present how we conceive the use of said technologies in archaeology, advocating for pushing the boundaries beyond an straightforward use of out-of-the-box functionalities. We illustrate that with a couple of examples where human interaction with the landscape in terms of mobility and visual perception are explored.
