Summary
In the last years, an intense debate around the scope of scientific dissemination and the role it should play in both mainstream media and research institutions has been articulated. The dissemination units recently created at many scientific institutions are changing the way in which scientists, corporate communicators and media interact. In this context, we analyse the case of romanarmy.eu, an experimental research collective which is developing new archaeological research and scientific dissemination methodologies. Corporate communications based on interactivity, the building of an audience participated by scientists and regular readers are structural elements of the process of producing knowledge.
